Extraordinary Members’ Meeting deferred
The meeting originally scheduled for this Sunday 12 July has been deferred to a date to be advised. My apologies for this, but work is continuing on the financing for the completion of the build. You will be advised of a new meeting date as soon as possible.
Your prayers for those concerned would be appreciated. Pray for wisdom and openness in discussions, and for God to enable us to do immeasurably more than we can imagine.
Church Members’ Meeting Outcomes
The Church Members’ held on Sunday 21 June was well attended, and whilst the Zoom platform was not ideal, it served us well thanks to everyone’s patience and understanding.
The Senior Pastor’s and Secretary’s reports were received.
The Treasurer presented the Financial Statements for the nine month period, 1 July 2019 – 31 March 2020, which were received.
The draft budget for the upcoming financial year 1 July 2020 – 30 June 2021 was also presented. The difficulty in preparing the budget was recognised and Peter was thanked for his work during the current challenging times. The government support at this time was explained and noted with appreciation. The budget was approved.
Background to the motion which was before the meeting regarding a loan to finance the completion of the Building Project was presented and a healthy discussion ensued.
The motion, to take out a loan to complete the building redevelopment, was supported on the proviso that a full financial assessment for the 3 years of the loan term, be presented to an Extraordinary Church Members’ Meeting prior to approval being given to take out the loan.
Accordingly an Extraordinary Church Members’ Meeting has been announced, but postponed to a date to be announced.
Information will be forwarded in good time which will enable any questions to be raised prior to the meeting.

Members’ Meetings are held quarterly, and are open to members and non-members alike. (Non-members are able to vote on most issues.)
The Members are led by the Deacons, who meet monthly.
