Day of Prayer of Thanksgiving

with Churches across Tasmania

Please join with Tasmanian Baptists and other denominations in praying today for our state in this COVID time.

We give thanks to God for:

Protecting our state from a serious outbreak of Coronavirus.

Our leaders and their advisors who have served us well in protecting the lives of Tasmanians.

Limiting the loss of life.

We also ask God for:

Our leaders to persist in their wise leadership.

The ongoing protection of every person in Tasmania.

The other states of Australia who continue to battle this pandemic.

Prayer for our Church Communities

The Point Baptist Church surely has one of the most unique venues for their services of any church in Tasmania – the Cormorant Café upstairs in Seahorse World on Inspection Head Wharf, 200 Flinders Street, Beauty Point.

Pray for our five churches ‘under the Tiers’ – Perth, Riverlands, Bracknell, Westbury and Deloraine – as they seek to minister God’s love in their communities.

Stand Sunday (September 13)

Supporting Foster and Kinship Families

Tasmanian Baptists are committed to supporting foster and kinship caring across our state. Churches and pastors have now received their Stand Sunday Kit. Stand Sunday celebrates foster and kinship caring by Christian families. Use that Sunday to celebrate those already fostering as well as those stepping out.

Check out Francis Chan and his reflections on our role as Christians to help the orphan:

Reflect: This is the true grace of God. Stand fast in it.
