About us

about

Hobart Baptist Church is a rich and diverse community made up of around 300 people from a number of different congregations and groups.

On Sundays there are three services: our traditional 10am service; the 11.45am Karen service (Burmese ex-refugees) in their own language; and a special ministry in the afternoon called Church With No Walls (2pm Sundays). In addition, we have the Anuak Fellowship (Ethiopian) meeting on the 1st and 3rd Sunday afternoons. And on the 2nd and 4th Saturday afternoons, a Filipino house church “Mabuhay Christ Homes”.

Here at Hobart Baptist Church we seek to make Jesus known in the city of Hobart and beyond. We are an international church that celebrates our unity and diversity in Jesus, aiming to grow devoted witnesses of Jesus Christ.

If you are looking for a church to make your home, we would love to talk with you and help you discern if Hobart Baptist Church is the church for you.
