Church Family News, 4 April

Sunday 4 April 2021

Hope rising

You are invited to join us this Easter Sunday at 10am as we see HOPE RISING.

Easter is all about hope as God does the impossible and brings Jesus back to life. Jesus is hope personified, resurrected, and alive, with us now in the presence of the Holy Spirit. He is inviting us to be people of hope amid the community we live in.

Come and be part of it as we remember how God walks with us as hope rises amid the storm of despair.

2021 Crossover Easter Offering

Crossover Easter Offering

If you were not at church on Good Friday and wish to give to Crossover and support their evangelism work, you can put your offering in the Offering Box at church on Sunday – please either use the Crossover Offering envelopes located in the foyer of the church or your own envelope marked appropriately. You can also give online by clicking here>>>

Crossover is an initiative of Australian Baptist Ministries to foster mission and resource Baptist churches in evangelism, church planting and church revitalisation. Crossover equips churches to creatively share Jesus in diverse Aussie contexts.

Connecter Changes

The Connecter

Thanks to all those who participated in the recent communications survey. As a result we’ve started to make a few changes about how we keep you updated. You will have received a new style of email on Fridays that links to our weekly news on the website where you can print your own PDF from this link.

The Prayer page is a new way of presenting prayer. If you have a prayer point that is not confidential you would like added please email bulletin@hobartbaptist.org.au

Your feedback is always welcome, and bear with us, our resources are limited!

Car Parking on Sundays

Just a reminder to be thoughtful about where you park your car.

Now that settlement on the units has taken place, it is important to remember the numbered spaces in the car park are for the sole use of the residents.

As well, if you are fit and able, please leave parking spaces in the front of the church for those less able. Just think of the benefit of that little bit of exercise! Thank you for your cooperation.

HBC Services Online

We hope to be live-streaming services from church to you very soon. Until then, we pre-record our services on YouTube here >>>

Audio of in-person services, including the Q&A, is available HERE >>>

GIVING – Your tithes and offerings

Thank you to all who have faithfully continued with regular giving during the current economic climate. Many are now using EFT, with quite a few who have made the switch since we had to close our doors. Your ongoing support is much appreciated.

There is an offering box available for your use as you leave the Sanctuary. (A change to the way we do things as a result of COVID-19).

You can give online here>>>
