HBC making way for the new
On Saturday 13 March, everything on the ground floor of the office area in the Soundy Building was moved. It went either into our new office area on the mezzanine; or into the Soundy Lounge, where items for the cafe, foyer and heritage are stored.
It was wonderful to have over 20 volunteers, aged four to 80, and from all sanctuaries. A big thank you to all who came along.
We have one more move to go so keep an eye out for the next one.

New Prayer Calendars – Release Delayed
The release of the new prayer calendar will, unfortunately, be delayed by a few weeks. I apologise for this, but with everything that is happening, we’re not quite there yet.
There has been a bit of movement of people with many new people joining us since the last calendar was released. It would be really helpful if you could please either talk to Walter Bartlett or the Secretary or email wd.bartlett@internode.on.net or secretary@hobartbaptist.org.au if you would like to remain on the calendar, or be added to it.
Praise and Prayer Points
Give thanks for:
- The sale of our final unit for an excellent price
- Being part of a church family, and the support and encouragement we can give each other
- Family reunions that have happened in recent weeks
- The improvement in health for a number of our family
Please pray for:
- Comfort for those who are mourning the loss of a loved one
- Recovery for those who have had health concerns recently
- The finalisation of the sale of the units over the next couple of weeks
- The completion of our redevelopment
- Wisdom and clarity as we “Step over the Threshold”
Car Parking on Sundays
Just a reminder to be thoughtful about where you park your car.

If you are fit and well, we ask that you leave parking spaces in the front of the church for those less able. A little bit of exercise is beneficial.
Numbered car spots in the church car park are for the sole use of the residents. There is a disability parking spot for anyone who qualifies to use it.
HBC Services Online
Recently, on-line services reverted back to being essentially the same content as the in-person service.
The audio of in-person services, including the Q&A, is available HERE >>>
Issues with the NBN have nearly been resolved and we hope to be live-streaming the services from church to you very soon.
GIVING – Your tithes and offerings

Thank you to all who have faithfully continued with regular giving during the current economic climate. Many are now using EFT, with quite a few who have made the switch since we had to close our doors. Your ongoing support is much appreciated.
There is an offering box available for your use as you leave the Sanctuary. (A change to the way we do things as a result of COVID-19).
COVID-19 Update and reminders
Please pray for the world as we continue to battle the pandemic.
Please remember the simple guidelines to keeping everyone safe, including:
Stay at home if you are unwell – always cover coughs and sneezes.
Please use hand sanitiser when you arrive and before you leave
Ensure your name is recorded
Family members may sit close together – others please remember the 1.5m rule
You will notice when you are out and about that you are being asked to scan the QR code, or write your name down, to assist with contact tracing. As you are aware we have already been recording attendees and we thank you for your ongoing cooperation with this.
Thank you for your assistance.
