The Bible has a lot to say about money. 1 Timothy 6:10 says; ‘For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil..’, and yet, God has created a world in which money is a key element. How do we think about and manage our finances – and other resources – in a way that is God honouring?
In a time where the cost of living in our society is rising, and many people are struggling to live, we are still bombarded by consumerism and conditioned by our culture to live – and spend – a certain way. Is the way our culture regards money healthy? As followers of Jesus, do we ned to find ways to be counter-cultural both in our thinking and our behaviour with regard to money?
Together, we are going to explore these questions – and others – to work through how God intends us to think about our money and resources. We are going to look at the teachings of Jesus regarding money and resources, and ask the question; “If he’s serious about this, how do we respond?”
