Sanctuary Sermon Series, Sunday Feb 11

A new sermon series as we prepare for Sanctuary Sunday coming up on March 11. This week, Stephen Baxter brings an overview of Hobart Baptist Church – and our mission to be a place of sanctuary and refuge to those who come here.

Revelation 7:9-12

After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice:

“Salvation belongs to our God,
who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb.”

All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying:

“Amen!
Praise and glory
and wisdom and thanks and honor
and power and strength
be to our God for ever and ever.
Amen!”

God has given Hobart Baptist Church a special assignment. We are a congregation of people from around the world, who gather in different locations in different ways, as we express our love and service to God and each other.
In the weeks leading up to our Sanctuary Sunday celebration on March 11, we will be focusing on our unique calling from God.
