Our value of “Learning to Live like Jesus in Hobart” can take many forms. Everybody has unique God-given skills and talents, which means you can help change the world around you.

Here are just some areas you can get involved as a volunteer . . .

HBC Church Secretary

Be the person across the behind-the-scenes activity. The Church Secretary is also a deacon, and liases closely with both Pastors Stephen Baxter and Matt Henderson. Time and commitment is equivalent to a part-time job.

Missions Officer

Serve the work of the Church overseas by raising awareness and funds right here in Hobart. Particular emphasis is given to Baptist World Aid projects and the Operation Christmas Child shoebox program.

Hospitality Team

Be a welcoming face on a Sunday morning and make it easy for newcomers to fit right in. The Hospitality Team can make a person’s day, just by saying “Good morning”! There are both before church, and after church, opportunities.

Audio, Video and Data Team

Creating lovely visuals and great sound doesn’t happen by chance. Our hard-working tech team make things run every 10am service. All training is provided. What’s not to love?

And there are so many more options!

Other opportunities to serve include areas such as music and worship, Bible reading, corporate prayer, website and social media, Kids’ Church and Youth, cleaning, building maintenance, English language groups, barrista at Esteem Coffee and more. Training and information will be provided for every successful applicant.
