Room Hire
Thanks for your interest in booking Hobart Baptist Church’s community facility.
There are several spaces you can book for an hour, half-day or daily rate. All rooms have disabled access. Some have access to a kitchenette.

Boreham Room
Board Room, Capacity 16
Named for renowned preacher, speaker and author F.W. Boreham, and Pastor at HBC 1906-1916. The Boreham Room is on Level One with access via stairs or lift.
Gibson Hall
Large Hall or Room, Capacity 75
Named for the Gibson Family who financed the Hobart Tabernacle back in the 1860s. The Gibson Hall is on the Lower Ground level, with access via stairs or wheelchair lift.
Playroom
Medium-sized Meeting Room, Capacity 20
The Playroom is on Level One and is suitable for meetings, and care of children. Access via stairs or lift.
Playroom + Deck
Medium-sized Meeting Room and Outside Area, Capacity 40
In addition to the Playroom on Level One, there is access to the large outside deck area. Access via stairs or lift.
Soundy Lounge
Large Meeting room, Capacity 50
The Soundy Family were a prominent Hobart Family, who attended Hobart Baptist Church. The Soundy Lounge is contained within the Soundy Building, and is on Ground Level.
“The Tab” Auditorium
Spacious and Historical Room, Capacity 250
Once known as the Hobart Baptist Tabernacle, The Tab Auditorium is on Ground Level.
Other Rooms
Other rooms and areas available in conjunction with your hire include the first floor or main kitchen, toilets, second floor kitchenette (upstairs), stairwell to second floor and/or lift access.
