Big Buts of the Bible, January 21
Ps Nathan Lattimore continues our Summer Sermon Series: Big Buts of the Bible.
“But” is a very important word (Gk. “alla” – αλλα). There are many times in the Bible where this three (four) letter word changes everything. It is amazing the difference a great “but” makes.
Today, Nathan reflects on the following big “but”, from 1 Corinthians 15:19-22 (NIV) >>>
If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.
But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. (Our emphasis)
