Breathe Shine and Seek to Mend, from June 16 2019

On Sunday June 16 2019, Associate Pastor Michael Henderson unveiled ‘Breathe, Shine and Seek to Mend’, his confronting art installation timed to coincide with Hobart’s Winter Festival.

This sermon focuses on Michael’s artwork, being displayed for the first time this morning to the HBC congregation, and open for the public from 5:30pm this afternoon.

Rather than stand from afar and judge or huddle in our church building and hide, this is a way that Hobart Baptist is entering into the mess and chaos the Dark Mofo represents, just as Jesus did when He came to Earth.

Michael speaks about the installation and how it will engage with Dark Mofo, and those who are seeking spiritually.
