Sanctuary Sunday, September 8, 2019
HOBART BAPTIST CHURCH is a church full of life . . .
. . . And a place of rest and refuge for many. We are a church of diverse sanctuaries – each providing a special haven for special people.
Our bi-annual Sanctuary Sunday is a time to celebrate our UNITY in Jesus, and our DIVERSITY as a broad cultural mix.
Over the years, believers from many backgrounds, young and old, rich and poor, male and female, Aussie, Latvian, African, Dutch, Asian, British and more, have found a place to belong within HBC.
On Sanctuary Sunday, many of us gathered to worship God together and celebrate what he is doing among us. During the morning we had some special contributions from our multi-cultural communities, and also our Kids Church.
As well, we celebrated three baptisms, and enjoyed a great morning tea after the service.
